Handcrafted Near Infrared Saunas for Natural Wellness
Built in the USA from locally sourced basswood and powered by renewable energy, our saunas offer a better way to heal, relax, and recharge.
Founded in 2013, Sauna Comfort is a family-run business based in Wisconsin, dedicated to helping people feel better—naturally. We specialize in high-quality near infrared saunas, handcrafted in partnership with Amish artisans using locally sourced, sustainable basswood. Every unit is made in the USA, and our entire workshop operates 100% off-grid, powered solely by renewable solar energy.
Our story began with a personal journey. After struggling for years with chronic back pain and tendonitis, our founder, Rich, began searching for natural, non-invasive healing alternatives. His discovery of near infrared light therapy led to a homemade two-bulb sauna and—more importantly—relief. As word spread among family and friends, so did the desire to build something bigger. Sauna Comfort was born.
To make the healing power of near infrared saunas accessible to more people seeking natural, non-toxic ways to support their health and well-being.
Why thousands choose Sauna Comfort: handcrafted infrared saunas, sustainable practices, and honest customer care.
Each sauna is built-to-order with precision and care, guided by the golden rule: treat others the way we want to be treated.
We sell directly to our customers to keep costs low and maintain quality. We also use our own products daily and refine our designs based on real-world experience and feedback.
We’re proud to offer products made from American basswood, harvested locally, and built in an off-grid workshop using solar-powered tools. From raw materials to final assembly, every step honors our commitment to the planet.
Over the years, we’ve expanded from a single workshop to three, reflecting the growing demand for natural, effective wellness solutions. To date, we’ve proudly shipped our handcrafted near infrared saunas to all 50 U.S. states and to customers around the world—including Canada, Germany, Indonesia, Japan, Spain, Singapore, and beyond.
